Python Job: Mainframe Consultant

Role- Mainframe Consultant / Data Support Engineer

Location- Melbourne, VIC

Position- Permanent (Full-time)

Must have experience in AWS, DevOps, and Mainframe

• Software Engineering competency across languages such as C/C++, awk, Shell scripting, and Python.
• A lexer/parser tool such as ANTLR would be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of IBM Mainframe Copybooks or COBOL.
• Well versed with EBCDIC and ASCII formats and their conversion into one another.
• Software Delivery technical skills such as CI/CD, Automated Deployments, Automated Testing, Build Servers, and Software / Source Code Configuration Management.
• Knowledge of core AWS data services such as S3, RDS, EC2, KMS
• Platform automation tools (DB Management, AWS, Jenkins, GitHub)
• Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Apply pro-actively & perform hands-on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD
• Coaching & mentoring of other Service Team members
• Develop/contribute to software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
